Yeah that pretty much describes it. I don’t know if I’m in a writing slump or if I’m just not giving myself the space to write. Either way, Hemingway had it right: the act of writing is an act of creation that requires more than the sweat of your brow; it requires your heart’s blood and every creative spark in your body. Which on some days, isn’t much… Today’s heart’s blood: 86 words.
Of course, tomorrow I’ll say it’s like floating downstream on a sunny day.
