Day 61: Conferencing Part I

The first day of the writing conference is done and I am exhausted. Exhausted and exhilerated. I love being surrounded by people who love children’s books, whether they write, illustrate, read, or edit them, or more likely, do a combination of any of those.

One of the things I always do for this conference is get a few books for the charity book bins…. Don’t tell me you’re surprised I got a couple for myself. Here’s one of them:


So far, it’s quite good, but then I’ve heard Garth Nix is.

    Love Garth Nix, I do. Favorite is SABRIEL…and the whole series, frankly. And I am with you on the conference and being surrounded by kindred spirits!

    Yeah now that I’ve gotten a taste of Nix, I definitely want to read more of him. (And it always seems like the Conference goes too fast, doesn’t it?)
