This post had me cracking up but it had some really good advice to defeating writer’s block. Here’s an alternative to the work-through-it solution. Enjoy!

There is a dreadful affliction which strikes down even the hardiest of writers. This affliction spares no one in its ferocity and it is often thought to have no cure. Well, fellow writers, I bring good news! Below are a list of symptoms common to those afflicted by the accursed Writers Block.

Symptom.

Itchy, sore eyes.

Cure.

Find somewhere leafy and green. Lie on your back, close your eyes, and dream. Repeat every two days until symptoms subside.

Symptom.

Lack of concentration

Cure.

Instead of trying to capture your errant thoughts, follow where they lead. When you have followed those thoughts as far as they will go, empty your mind and breathe.

Symptom.

Aches and pains, particularly in the head and hands.

Cure.

Take a break from the computer. Relax, take a bath, chat with friends about the little things.

Symptom.

Restlessness

Cure.

Run. Run and run and run until…
